From a Colt to a Bronco

After a season with young quarterback, Tim Tebow, an older quarter back has come in to make new changes. Thirty-six year old Peyton Manning from the Indianapolis Colts was traded to the Denver Broncos on March 7th, 2012.  According to ESPN, many Broncos fans had their doubts, but to their surprise Manning is pulling through and throwing yards. Since the trade, Broncos ticket sales have gone up by 30%.

Manning hasn’t just brought up the ticket sales for the Broncos, he has also boosted the team in a new way. During preseason training, many Denver Broncos players were not for Manning being the quarter back. Demaryius Thomas stated, “Manning is controlling and very demanding.” Obviously his demanding attitude and control over the team has brought them some unpredictable yards and a strong win.  Probably due to the hard preseason workouts, Peyton Manning pulled through at the Broncos vs. Steelers game on September 9, 2012 with 253 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Manning also celebrated his 400th pass to a touchdown in the 19 to 31 win over Pittsburg. According to ESPN NFL Manning said:  “It’s just one game. I try to keep it in perspective, I know how hard I’ve worked to get to this point. I know how much help that I’ve gotten along the way, from a lot of people. I’m very grateful for that. It’s special. I will definitely say it’s special.” This is just the start of the season; Peyton Manning is sure to enhance the points resulting in more wins.
